Next Steps — Step Up Aim High
As students prepare for life beyond the classroom, Step Up Aim High equips them with the tools, exposure, and support needed to transition confidently into college, careers, and adulthood. Through our Next Steps initiative, we serve middle and high school students across New Orleans with academic assistance, enrichment opportunities, and future-focused programming.
Our approach centers on empowerment, mentorship, and real-world readiness—ensuring that students not only imagine success, but actively prepare to achieve it.
Core Program Components
✔ Weekly Tutoring & Academic Support
Students receive consistent tutoring and homework assistance, helping them strengthen foundational skills, improve grades, and build academic confidence.
✔ Career Fests & Exposure Events
Youth gain firsthand exposure to diverse career paths through speaker panels, hands-on workshops, college representatives, and industry professionals—helping them make informed decisions about their futures.
✔ SUAH Scholarship Program
Through the Step Up Aim High Scholarship Program, graduating students are supported in their pursuit of higher education, vocational training, and workforce participation, helping to reduce financial barriers and increase access to opportunity.
